From personal experience with my husband's @JamesDWitmer audiobooks for children, I know that audiobooks are very expensive to make so they are not done unless publishers are sure they are going to recoup their costs. So unless the public buys more of her newly printed paperback books, they will never invest in audiobooks. A few of her adult books have been made into Kindle ebooks. Her copyrights have continued to be renewed and therefore keep her books out of public domain, so that her estate can benefit from her work being distributed in the future.
Wonderful! I’m going to post listings next week for all of her books that are currently in print, but these will get you to a list to search for the books you need 👌 📚❤️☺️
I read The Castle on the Hill in 2017 and it was a worn mass market paperback that Bookstagram friends were passing along to one another, starting in England. I loved it and it’s one of the few of her adult books I don’t own. Since I read it Hodder has republished it. It had been really hard to find before then, and it wasn’t in the first batch Hodder released. So I just ordered it. Time for a re-read in March.
Yes, so nice they have released it! But how nice to have a story with your paperback being passed from reader to reader. I am looking forward to rereading it again here.
Do you think they will ever be available as audiobooks until they enter public domain?

I’m so grateful you posted this! It’s so timely for me. I was just debating paying $30 shipping on eBay to get *one* book from eBay 😅😅😅

Bless you! This is a wonderful resource. I am enjoying amassing my Goudge books!
She is so worth reading and rereading :)
I have bought my books at various places online but would love to stumble upon Goudge at a thrift store someday!
Me too! I have never had that happen.
My library doesn’t have them, but was able to get Gentian Hill for me with interlibrary loan.
Interlibrary loan is such a wonderful program :)
