“Humanity can be roughly divided into three sorts of people - those who find comfort in literature, those who find comfort in personal adornment, and those who find comfort in food…”
🌿 Elizabeth Goudge, The Little White Horse
Join us!
I hope you are planning on joining us for a perfect Goudge novel for early summer—The Little White Horse.
Goudge wrote this children’s novel when she was inspired by Compton Castle in Devon near her home in Marldon, UK during the 1940’s. It is a beautiful fairytale story of friendship, reconciliation, and redemption. Hope you can join us!
This book would especially make a wonderful read-aloud for you to share with any little people in your life as we begin the summer holidays. I am hoping that I can persuade my daughters (16 years &18 years) to join us this month as well as they love this book so much. :)

I discovered Elizabeth Goodge 55 years ago and loved her. It’s been difficult to find her books lately, I’m so happy to see her flame still burns brightly!
The Little White Horse is my favorite book. Very excited to read it again.
