The book that made Goudge famous
Who is ready for another Goudge Readalong?
In September we will be reading together from Green Dolphin Street, Elizabeth Goudge‘s hugely successful novel which was also made into a movie in 1947!
Join us in September!
I hope you are planning on joining us for another perfect Goudge novel for end-of-summertime island dreaming—Green Dolphin Street. Goudge wrote this novel as inspired by her beloved Guernsey, her mother’s home in the Channel Islands, and also a shocking family story! It is a dramatic, adventurous story about finding your own calling, loving when it is tough, and looking for a safe haven. Hope you can join us!
At nearly 500 pages, it is a longer book, but will it is perfect for the stormier days of September. We will be sharing setting photos, book quotes, characters and scenes, and enjoy discussing it together on Zoom the last Wednesday afternoon (3PM EST) of the month. It would be wonderful this month to also watch the movie, Green Dolphin Street, before our discussion you are able.
