I read it a few years ago but I think that I will get a lot out of a second reading. This seems to be the case with Goudge and it is always helpful to have your informative posts to widen our appreciation.
I will be reading (actually have started as my copy has over 700 pages!) for the third time - this one is pretty high up on my "Goudge favorite" list. So grateful for all the help you give!!
It is a longer one! She had a bit of trouble getting it published during war time because of paper shortages, but eventually there were copies made even for the US military! A real success story. Glad you can join us!!
