Thank you for such a helpful post. I have been looking for how to protect my books for some while, but didn't know what to search. I have found a UK equivalent and am very grateful!

Thank you!!! The post that I’ve been waiting for. I did also chat to the owner of our local Old Books shop and he gave me some tips too. I have about 30 plus vintage books from Goudge, O.Douglas, L.M.Montgomery and Miss Read that need covering. So this will be a task indeed. As you said, once started it’s not such a problem. Yay for this information as I love my vintage books and have saved to buy most of them.

That is quite the collection, Cate! Once you get going the assembly is very fast indeed, and there is a bit of a thrill to see the dj so well protected when you are done. Here is to helping your books last a few more decades :)

I actually went and counted and it was more like 50, but 20 of those vintage copies are in good shape and do not yet need the covering. Would you suggest I do it anyway, to start protecting them? I had not realised the extent of my vintage book collection! I don't have any vices and books are my hobby so I guess it makes sense.

Will you be reading from them? If so, I would suggest it because it will protect them. But that's up to you of course! :)

I do already so I should cover them all. Prevention is better than cure.
